Winter Newman serves as the IntraOffice Logistics for Operation Restoration, where she provides comprehensive administrative and operational support that helps maintain the organization’s efficiency, productivity, and day-to-day effectiveness. In her role, she assists with coordinating internal operations, streamlining communication, supporting organizational initiatives, and ensuring that staff and leadership have the resources necessary to effectively serve the community.
A proud graduate of McDonogh 35 Senior High School and Louisiana State University, Winter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology and a minor in Business.
Winter brings a proven track record of operational excellence, cross-agency collaboration, and mission-driven leadership through years of experience in public service. She has dedicated much of her career to supporting initiatives that strengthen communities, expand opportunities, and improve outcomes for underserved populations throughout New Orleans and beyond.
Throughout her professional career, Winter has held several impactful leadership and support roles within the Mayor’s Office and community-focused programs. She served as an AmeriCorps VISTA Communications and Outreach Coordinator for the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice Coordination, where she supported outreach initiatives, public engagement efforts, and community-based programming. She later served as an AmeriCorps VISTA Program Manager, overseeing program coordination, volunteer engagement, and operational support.
Most recently, Winter served as Briefings Manager and Special Assistant to the Mayor, where she assisted in executive coordination, strategic planning, and stakeholder communication. These experiences deepened her expertise in people management, executive administration, community engagement, and organizational leadership.
Known for her professionalism, adaptability, and commitment to service, Winter is passionate about creating systems that improve organizational effectiveness and foster meaningful community impact. She continues to use her skills and experience to support mission-focused work, build collaborative relationships, and contribute to initiatives that empower individuals and strengthen communities.na.
