Ashley Crawford
Policy & Legal Associate
Ashley Crawford is the Policy & Legal Associate at Operation Restoration. She is responsible for helping to develop and implement Operation Restoration’s policy research and advocacy agenda and communicating with policymakers, stakeholders, the public, and the media about OR’s policy work. Ashley also provides post-conviction support to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people.
Ashley is a native New Orleanian. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in English from the University of New Orleans in 2013, and her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2016. With over 10 years of experience in the criminal legal system, Ashley is fiercely passionate about helping those most vulnerable in our community. Her own lived experience with the criminal legal system furthered her passion and dedication to the fight. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with her twin sons. She is honored and excited to be a part of such an amazing team at Operation Restoration!
