A LETTER FROM OUR CEO: Building Brighter Futures
July was a reminder that creating brighter futures requires intentional investment in women, girls, and families every single day.
At Operation Restoration, we believe brighter futures begin with access to housing, education, workforce development, and the resources that help women and families succeed.
Last month, 15 families secured stable housing through Operation Housing. When families have a safe place to call home, they have the foundation to build a future.
Through Operation Education, women and girls are earning educational credentials, preparing for careers, developing as leaders, and becoming more engaged in their communities. Operation Education supports our clients with Job Search and specific programming geared toward girls between the ages of 11-17. As a Vote Your Voice grantee, Operation Restoration also joined organizations from across the Deep South at the Vote Your Voice 2026 Convening to advance voter education, community leadership, and civic participation.
As July came to a close, our team also turned its focus toward one of our favorite times of the year—our annual Back-to-School Shoe Drive. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and community partners, 285 plus families were able to begin the school year with confidence. We look forward to sharing the full impact of this year's event in next month's newsletter.
As we step into August, we remain focused on helping women, girls, and families move forward with confidence while continuing to build stronger communities.
In Gratitude,
Syrita Steib
