human resource generalist

April Stephens serves as the Human Resource Generalist at Operation Restoration. She is responsible for all HR functions within the organization, including recruitment, hiring and interviewing staff, administering benefits, leave and enforcing company policies and practices. She will also be assisting with performance evaluations.

Before joining Operation Restoration, April worked for Boasso in Chalmette, The Urban League and Nestlé. She has administered performance reviews, as well as transitioned 75 temporary employees to full-time benefited employees in less than four months. April has also created multiple training programs such as sexual harassment, diversity and inclusion, and customer service. Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, April graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a bachelor's in business management. 

Outside of work, April enjoys spending her free time doing yoga, practicing self-care and spending time with her children at their home in Slidell.
